Friends Like Sisters

Friends like sisters, heart to heart

Bound by love, though miles apart.

In every laugh, in every tear.

Their presence makes the world less drear.

Through trials faced and joys we share

Their strength reminds us they are there.

No blood between, yet still we find,

A deeper bond, of soul and mind.

They lift us up when we are low,

And celebrate each time we grow.

With them, we’re never truly alone,

For friends like sisters feel like home.

On December 26, 2023, I released a devotional for women who had a man in their life, a beloved, that they wanted to intercede for at another level.

Pray It Forward: For Women Who Choose To Fight On Their Knees is a 62-day fasting, prayer, and praise guide.

The Holy Spirit impressed me to go LIVE on YouTube starting January 1 and invite women who purchased the book to join me so we could walk this journey and fight together.

Intercession is not easy. We were battling long-held strongholds in the lives of husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, etc. We were stronger together.

I called those 15-minute messages, battle charges because God was equipping us to fight in prayer for our beloveds.

And women joined many live, others on replay. And they received the support and encouragement they needed to keep going.

First, we all made it through 62 consecutive days of fasting, prayer, and praise for the men in our lives that God had directed us to intercede for.

That was something most of us had never done before.

Second, the women bonded and connected through the chat during the morning LIVEs and when the book was completed, the community kept going.

Then we started having Zoom meetings on Sunday to see each other, get to know each other and share our stories and our lives.

God has created something, I didn’t plan or expect.

Now we see God has a purpose and a direction for us.

In line with that purpose is our heightened understanding that prayer isn’t A power, it is THE power we have been given by God to undergird any goal we desire to accomplish.

In addition, we have become sisters in the victories and the challenges and certainly in prayer.

We recognized that we needed community not just to pray but to grow and develop into the women God created us to be.
